Thuper Llama

It was a bright summer day in Gotham City, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Joey, our llama, was sitting on the couch.

That's right, I said llama. He's a spoiled one too.

"I thought Abby was supposed to be watching you," I said.

"No," He replied, "She decide to go outside." Oh yeah, I almost forgot, this llama talks, and most the time he never shuts up.

"Well as long as you don't drool all over our carpet," I said.

"I don't drool! I just spit, and only if people make me mad." Joey said. I just laughed and went outside to find Abby. When I found Abby she was just watching the sprinkler go back and forth. She always does that when she's bored, that or she's very easily amused.

"You won't be bored for very long," I said, " The sun's almost down and you know what that means."

"More robbers and gunmen and easy people to catch," Abby said in a careless tone.

"No, I don't think it's going to be like that tonight."

"Why?" Abby asked curiously.

"Because we got a call from Lauren & the rest of the Thuper Team."

"What's the mission?" asked Abby, now listening intently.

"Lauren didn't say, all she told me was to get to the Bat Lair as soon as we can."

"Okay, but we can't leave Joey here, you know the drooling problem he has," she laughed.

"I heard that!" Joey yelled, " And I'm not the one who drools! You are Abby!"

"Yeah sure Joey," we both said in disbelief. Then we flew off to the Bat Lair. Joey ran after us, trying to catch us. We heard him, but we ignored him for a little bit. Then we finally went down to get him.

"Oh, we almost forgot ya Joey," I said laughing.

"Ha ha, very funny," Joey said angrily.

Abby laughed," How are we going to get you all the way to the Bat Lair?"

"I guess we could carry him," I said questionably. So we flew off again to the Bat Lair. We had to stop a couple times, because of Joey.

"Geez Joey, I think you need to lay off the cupcakes for a while," joked Abby.

"Well excuse me! I'm sorry I like eating!"

"Well you could at least eat your veggies," I laughed.

"Okay guys, enough talk about food, we're here," Abby said. So we finally arrived at the Bat Lair, but we had no idea what we were in for.

"So what's our mission Batman?"

"Giant nuclear vegetables have been spotted around Gotham City," Batman said, "And I want you two, umm...or three, to find out where they're coming from."

"Your kidding right?" I asked laughing.

"No, he's not, they're destroying, or trying to destroy, everything in site," Tyler said.

"Okay then, I guess we'll start looking around, where should we start?" Abby asked.

"Start looking around the Gotham Nuclear Center, that's where most the sitings have been," said Johnny. So off we went again, Kelsey and Abby by day, Thpiderwoman and Mystique by night.

"Don't forget me!" Joey said. Oh, and Joey, umm, just Joey the llama i guess.

"Does he fight people by spitting on them or something?" Jeremy asked.

"No, he drools on them!" Sebby said.

"Would you let that go already?!" Joey screamed.

"Guys...," I said, " You might want to take a look a this." They all looked down and they saw giant nuclear veggies, tons of them.

"Holy pickles! They're actually real!" Joey said terrified.

"Yeah, now how are we gonna get rid of them?" Abby asked.

"Don't worry about that yet, all Batman said we had to do was find out where they're coming from, and i think I know where," I said, "See all that garbage over there?"

"Yeah, but what's that got to do with giant nuclear veggies?" Abby questioned.

"If we go take a look, I think we'll find just what we're looking for." So we went down to where the garbage was, and just as I thought, there were tons of vegetables thrown right into the lake next to the Gotham Nuclear Center. The lake was full of nuclear waste.

"So the vegetables were thrown into the lake, got contaminated with nuclear waste, and became giant nuclear veggies?" Abby asked confusingly.

"Umm yeah," I said suprised.

We called the Thuper Team and told them how the vegetables were growing. They told us that we could help them get rid of them, so we took the mission.

We were flying over Gotham City, and all of a sudden we heard a loud noise. We looked down and there they were, the giant veggies were destroying everything they could. The Thuper Team tried everything and it was working for a while, but they just kept coming. We did finally get the mob down to just a few, but these veggies were hard to beat. Then out of no where we heard a scream. Joey had bitten one of the veggies, and he just kept eating.

"Joey!" We all said in awe.

"What?" Joey asked, "You said I should eat more veggies!"

We all just laughed, but then something odd happened. Joey looked like he was getting buff. We all thought we were just imagining things so we just let him keep eating his veggies. When he was done, we told him we were going to go. He was running over to us when all of a sudden he started to fly. He had gotten superpowers from eating the nuclear veggies.

Everything's great now. We have more exciting missions, and now Joey insists on being called Joey the Crime Fighting Llama when we're on our missions and sometimes when we're not.

A lot more goes on in the life of the Thuper Team, but you'll just have to wait for the next issue of The Thuper Team to the Rethcue! lol

It was a dark and silent night. Nothing but the street lights shining and the sound of footsteps in the distance as the cops circled the block for the third time. There had been complaints of an odd rumbling coming from the sewer below. As the cops circled the area for the fourth time, they heard something, the same noise that the civilians heard night after night. The sound came closer and closer, and kept getting louder and louder, then it suddenly stopped. Total silence filled the streets, and the cops were no where to be found…

Meanwhile at the Thuper Team base…

We were all doing our daily things, Abby and I were pulling pranks on each other, James was teaching my evil kittens some new tricks, and Seb, Tyler, Jeremy, and Joey were taking a “break” from practicing with their band. They were actually just sitting around eating their daily pound of sugar and chocolate lol. Carlie was trying to convince the neighborhood squirrels to leave my cats alone, it wasn’t going too well. Lauren was watching tv waiting for her soaps to come on when “Channel 11 Breaking News” came on. “This just in, two cops who were on patrol last night mysteriously disappeared, leaving only their cop car behind.” “We hope to have a city wide search and have them safely back keeping our streets free of crime.”

“Looks like we have another case guys,” Lauren said.

“Yeah but this time we have no idea what we’re up against,” Abby said.

“Well it’s something that hides in the sewers, makes creepy noises, and doesn’t come out in the daylight,” I said.

“Hmm…Sounds like rats,” Tyler laughed, “Maybe it’s a giant mutated rat, or the rat from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turned evil.”

“I think giant rats would have a little bit of trouble getting from the sewers to the street without anyone noticing them,” Seb said.

“I guess we’ll just have to go down there and find out”, Jeremy said. ”But how can we make sure that we don’t get taken away by this thing just like the cops?”

“The buddy system of course,” James laughed.

“I call Abby!” Tyler said running over to Abbz.

James laughed, “I was kidding Ty.”

“Okay the buddy system probably won’t work here, but we could split into three groups, and make sure we have contact with each other at all times, here’s some communicators,” I said throwing everybody a walkie talkie.

“We’ll have to wait ‘til dark to find this thing, so what are we going to do ‘til then?” Joey asked.

“Somebody has to find out where we can start looking for this thing, Lauren, Carlie and I can do that,” Abby said.

“Okay, Jeremy, Seb, Joey, and Tyler, you three can get everything ready to go,” I said.

“James, you and I need to first of all need to make sure the gate is closed so none of my kittens get out, and then once Abby and those guys figure out where we’re going to start, we need to look at the sewer system so we know where we’re going.” I said.

A few hours later…

“Okay Kels we figured out where we’re going to start,” Carlie said. “It’s an alley on Broadway, that’s where the cops were when they disappeared,” Lauren said.

“Good work guys, now Seb how’s everything going over there?” I asked.

“Umm…other than Tyler and Joey fighting over who gets to drive the Thupermobile, it’s going great,” Seb laughed.

“Okay,” I laughed, “Well since Joey can fly he’s not going to drive.”

“Oh yeah I forgot about that,” Joey laughed.

“Whatever, you guys figure it out, James how is everything?” I asked.

“Very complicated,” James said. “But we can figure it out, I just printed out a map of the sewer system for the whole city.”

“Great, now we just need to figure out where that alley on Broadway is,” Lauren said.

“And get Tyler away from Jeremy and Seb, he looks pretty pissed off, he’s doing his don vito pout,” Abby laughed.

“I guess they beat Tyler to the drivers seats,” I said.

“Guys the sun’s going down, we better leave soon.” Carlie said. So off we flew, and Seb and Jeremy drove; Tyler was pouting the whole time.

When we got to the alley it was pitch black and silent, not a light and not a sound disturbed the streets. We crawled into the sewer, and it was more creepy than we thought it would be. We couldn’t see anything, so Jeremy lit a match. Then what we saw next was shocking. It was like a castle hallway, torches all along the walls and there was a door in the distance. It looked like someone, or something had been living here.

“Okay now we need to split into our groups, Joey, Abby, Lauren, and Tyler go one way, and James, Jeremy, Seb, Carlie and I will go towards the creepy door. If you guys see or hear anything call us,” I said.
