need of each individual to take care of his/her own
body.
Let’s start from the sentence of a nutrition expert: “
We are what we eat”!
In truth, no athlete, of whatever discipline, can set
aside a correct and balanced nutrition program for a
good sport-performance. We do not mean that teenegers
should not eat chips, drink sugered beverages and eat
super-dressed sandwiches, rather than this way of eating
is correct sometimes.....let’s say once a week!
The best performance is obtained with a correct
nutrition diet and an expert athletic preparation
without using doping substances, that are due to damage,
as time goes by, that wonderful “ machine” that’s human
body. This behaviior is definitely blameworthy.
Our projet consists in the organizing, during each week
of F.A. EUROCAMP Soccer Camp and during our F.A.
EUROCAMP Development Tour, a meeting with a dietitian
explaining parents and youths the importance of a
healthy eating behavior. The dietitian shall always be
available, during the year, for any explanation. He
shall care for the lunch, developing a special menu,
besed on Mediterranean diet, rich and balanced in
proteins, ( poultry), cabohydrates ( pasta, rice) and
fats ( dressing oil), in the correct percentage for
youths.
Parents can download free of charge a nutrition manual
based on Mediterranean diet;, considered by the most
important nutritionists all over the world as the most
varied, rich and healthy.
