F.A. EUROCAMP 2008

Greetings once again from us at Eurocamp! We have just returned from our Development Tour, which was a beautiful experience. Everything was a huge success and we are now working on another Development Tour for next year. This 2nd Development Tour was great and we hope that all the participants have received an appetizer of what the life of a professional soccer player is really like. Everything flowed smoothly and their was good competition amongst the players. This years Development Tour is one that is not likely to be forgotten. Eurocamp would like to thank all of our participants and we would be delighted if you all can join us next year on board for our next Development Tour. We will be posting pictures to our gallery soon. We will be posting information later on. Stay tuned!

TOWARDS THE SOCCER OF THE FUTURE

Until a few years ago the role of a soccer player and his/her tasks were limited:While the defenders had to protect the playing area from the opponent's attacks, the forwards had to conclude the action started by the midfielders. Nowadays soccer is changing and the players have specific roles during both the phase of attack and defense. The actual way of playing soccer tends to be more and more dynamic and it's conditioned by the speed of the ball as well as of the single players. It becomes of great importance for a player to be competent in particular i those actions and technical movements in which it's required rapidity. We think that it will become extremely important to be able to go beyond the opponent and manage to score the goal.

During the EUROCAMP weeks the participants will learn:

- The rules of soccer and the rules of the group, the health rules and the priciples of attack and defense;

- how to control and keep the ball, how to move and dribble, to shoot with both  left and right  feet,  medium and long distances, to collaborate during the different phases of the game and in the different areas of the field, to mark the opponent, to be active and help the team even when not directly involved with the ball, to change their rate of running;

- how to be attentive, determined, creative, self-controlled, sociable, trusting, generous, respectful of the rules, honest, courageous, self-confident and optimistic, full of initiative and enthusiasm to transmit to the team.

EUROCAMP organizes its DEVELOPMENT TOUR in order to improve the abilities of our young American players through the direct confrontation with several teams belonging to some of the most important European clubs
