| GETTING A SHARNTALIA KITTEN |
Situated in the Bay of Plenty's hot spot Rotorua, we maintain a small FeLV/FIV & PKD free cattery dedicated to raising happy, healthy, purrsonable babies in our home environment with all the loving care & attention they need & deserve. Our cats are pets first, show cats & breeders last, having the run of our home & an enclosed garden area to enjoy in safety.
Our kittens are released after having had both inoculations, developed the physical & social stability needed for a new environment, showing, being transported & lastly how they react to their kitten shots. This is only if the kitten is completely ready to go and the environment where they are going is a safe & secure one. Generally kittens go to their furever home by 12-14 weeks of age fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated & desexed. Occasionally we may have an older kitten available due to someone changing their mind as to colour, pattern, quality or sex. These kittens have a better defined temperament & adjust very well to new environments. Keeping such a rare treasure indoors, is but one of the essential elements for maintaining a healthy, long & happy life.
All kittens go to their new home with Registration, health & temperament guarantee. We are always available should the need arise. We care greatly what happens to our kittens and cats throughout their years. We love getting photos & stories about what they do. Also we offer Sharntalia as a retirement home or temporary shelter for your Ragdoll if the need should ever arise. Currently we have a Seal Birman rescue(11), a partially sighted rescue neuter(10), a rescue grey/white neuter(4), a Tabby tyga (18 mths, our latest addition) a dog & various other furry friends who share our household.
We are devoted to the Promotion, Protection and Preservation of the Ragdoll breed.
There is always room for a Sharntalia Ragdoll here |

Before bringing a new kitten home, think carefully about possible hazards they may encounter in their new environment. Electrical wires, fireplaces, candles, iron, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, toilets, cigarettes, rubbish bins, sharp utensils, stove elements, plastic bags, needles, pins, recliners, open cupboards & drawers, high balconies, small toys, detergents, essential oils, cleaning products, air fresheners, tea tree oil, aromatherapy, poisonous plants, potting mix (contains arsenic) cigarette smoke.
Cats are naturally curious. They will go into a plastic bag which may amuse the owners but BE AWARE that if the cat takes fright in any way there's a possibility of the cat's head getting caught in the handles which can have tragic consequences. Kittens love to chew & plastic can entangle around inner organs. They also contain petroleum which has been associated with cancer having been ingested by cats. Paper bags are much less dangerous & loved by most cats.
Many commonly used cat toys e.g yarn, rubber bands, string, dental floss, aluminium foil & cellophane can be dangerous if accidently swallowed. Kittens should only play with these under strict supervision, if at all. Cat toy warning
YOUR PETS CAN'T JUDGE WHAT'S SAFE & WHAT'S NOT.
KITTENS DON'T ALWAYS SEE DANGER
