Chapter 1: New Discoveries, New Enemies

"-sigh- New school, again, why does dad have to keep getting transferred?" The youth said as he walked down the street to his home. He is about 6 foot tall with emerald eyes set in a tough face. His slightly long blond hair is tied in ponytail with a black band. He wears a black t-shirt and jeans as he strolls along the mostly deserted ally shortcut home. He is 18 and a senior at his high school "Hey Andrew! Or should I say Black Hawk!" The youth stopped closed his eyes and turned around, "No, you shouldn’t. Only my friends can call me that and you are no friend of...." Andrew trailed off as he noticed there was six fairly built guys standing there, four of them had bats. "You left before we could welcome you Black Hawk." In his head Andrew wished he hadn’t mentioned that nickname in the lunchroom, but someone had asked. Andrew took a deep breath, "OK, I assume you idiots are looking for a fight huh." The lead guy fumed, "Idiots, hey we were going to let you off easy, but now you’re a dead man!" The lead bully charged and swung his bat down trying to crush Andrew’s skull. Andrew calmly sidestepped the blow and yawned, "That all, can I go now?" The bully swung again and again missing each time, finally Andrew tripped him over. "What are you MORONS waiting for get him!", shouted the lead bully. The entire rest of the gang charged Andrew. "Eh, guess it’s time I got serious.", he reached into his duffle bag and pulled out a wooden kendo sword. "Hey guys look at the toy sword!" One of the bullies with a bat Jeered. Andrew dashed forward and with a mighty cry swung his sword through the gang member’s bat busting it in half. "He...he...he’s a demon!" The entire gang ran off except the leader who was sitting screaming for the others to come back. Andrew calmly walked over and kicked the leaders bat into his free hand and with the other pointed his sword at the guy’s throat. "OK scum bag, listen up, if I ever hear about you doing this shit again, I’m going to do what I did to that bat with your face. Clear?" He said in the most threatening tone he could muster. "Crystal", said the gang leader. "Good", Andrew said more calmly, "Now get out of here before I change my mind." The gang leader ran as fast as he could away. "Oh, one more thing" Andrew said. The gang guy turned to look at him again. "You forgot your bat." Andrew hurled it as hard as he could, pegging the gang guy in the face. Maybe today wasn’t so bad he thought.

At home Andrew went up to his room and flopped onto his bed. Life had been OK so far he guessed. This last move had been from one coast of the US To the other. So here he was in New York City having to deal with all the new school troubles any teen has. He was adopted too, which got him some trouble, though not as much as that nickname of his. All he did was mention that he used it online once and after that, it just stuck. Not that he could complain, he rather liked it actually. It was just annoying to get the same sort of reception everywhere he went. Of course his skill in Martial Arts and Kendo, which some people said was almost unnatural, had helped immensely. Andrew suddenly realized something on his desk was beeping. He got up and walked over, there was a white device sitting there in front of his computer. "Hello, what's this?", he picked it up and turned it over in his hands a few times. It looked like those little video games he saw on the shelves at the mall. He never liked them and had told his parents as much, so he didn’t buy it and they didn’t ether. It was very strange, sort of teardrop shaped with a screen in the wider end and an antenna sticking out of that end. It was also solid white except for buttons, which were blue. "This is like nothing I’ve ever seen before...", he then looked up and saw that his computer was on. A sweat drop formed on his brow, "OK, this is just weird. I know I turned it off." He walked over to it, and there was an odd window up on it. He sat with is arms in front of him, one of which had the device in it. He read some of the text on it, and looked at the picture of a forest on it. "I wonder what it means by digi-port opennnn AHH-" his yell was cut short as he was sucked through the screen. "Honey, are you OK? Honey?" His mom called to him, but he couldn’t answer.

"Oooook Andrew, you are not insane, remember that. You just got sucked into your computer but, no, there’s nothing wrong, huh how’d my clothes change!?" He was now wearing a black leather jacket over a white shirt and long jeans, the device was hanging from his belt as was several belt pouches and... "My sword, I wasn’t even holding it before I went in. What the hell is going on here?" He looked around confused. He snapped to attention as he heard the bushes move behind him, before he could react he was knocked on out by dart that hit him in the neck. A Gazimon walked out from the bushes holding a blowgun. "Da boss is gonna have to give me that promotion now!", the Gazimon picked up Andrew and picked him under his arms. "Yea things are looking up!", he dragged Andrew off toward an all too familiar castle...
