Aloha, and mahalo nui loa for visiting my personal corner of the web. Let me first start out by telling you a little bit about myself before getting into the nitty gritty stuff.

I've always been a voracious reader, even from an early age. Eventually, once I was able to navigate around this thing called the web, I discovered erotica. Needless to say, I was hooked. I found literally thousands of sites. While reading some one day, I came across some absolutely atrocious attempts at male/male erotica.

While talking to some friends about it (who also write) they essentially dared me to do something about it. Their words were: Quit bitching about how horrible it is. If you think you can do better, prove it.

Well, I wasn't exactly sure how to start out, but thanks to another writing friend, Tianna Xander (fantastic author, by the way), she suggested I try using...in her words...an immortal. Well, I liked that idea but wasn't exactly sure how to approach it. I mean, I'd read loads and loads of stuff with vampires and lycanthropes, but I didn't want to follow the trend.

Well, one night yet another writing friend suggested I use a phoenix. I immediately fell in love with the idea; grabbed hold of it with both hands and ran with it. The result? After months and months of worry, sleepless nights and calls to friends to support and help I have the first in a series of six novellas titled "The Chronicles of the Phoenix."

My life with Dark Eden Press.

Some would call it chance that I happened upon Dark Eden Press, though I believe that everything happens for a reason.

It all started out simply enough. I read a posting to a writing group I'm a member of about a new online publisher looking for erotica. I didn't think it could hurt to submit to them, so...I did. I sat nervously at the computer literally staring at the inbox waiting for a reply but when it finally came, I was almost too scared to open it.

Fortunately, I got the guts to do it and found...surprise, surprise...I'd been accepted. Needless to say, I was over the moon! I think I'm still in LEO...that's Low Earth Orbit for you non-geek types LOL.

My first novella is being release through Dark Eden Press November 1st. If you'll follow the link above you can read a short excerpt of Ashes to Ashes.

I hope you check back often for updates.

Aloha,

Logan.
