It's been over 6 months after Saddam Hussein's capture. Not much news I have not heard recently.
I think a lot of people, too feel that he has be punished pretty badly. Torturing his citizens, killing Kurds, etc.
What he did was awful, so he should be punished... yeah it seems simple... but what about those who made
him do so, and those who helped doing those awful things?
If you give a machine gun to your friend, knowing that he is going to murder somebody, are you completely
innocent? Or you, too should be punished?
The US gave Saddam, money, guns, tanks, chemical/biological weapons, etc, and Saddam invade Iran, Kuwait and killed Kurds.
It's not only the US but UK, Germany, Russia, etc did similar things. How about them?
Please think carefully, who gave a gun to Osama bin Laden? Who recruited and made a group that became Al-Qaude in the future?
The answer is the CIA.
I hope they all get punished at certain degree, but I doubt it will happen. I hope the court will at least list those factors that contributed
Saddam's atrocities.
