The Junior Woman's club of Newport News is a proud member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and the Tidewater District of the GFWC Virginia.
Thank you for your interest in the Junior Woman's Club of Newport News (JWCNN). The JWCNN was founded in 1923 and was the first Junior Club in the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs (VFWC). The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) is the largest woman's volunteer organization in the world. The GFWC is the parent organization of the state federation GFWC Virginia. The Virginia Federation is divided into 8 districts. The JWCNN is one of the 8 junior clubs in the Tidewater District.
The purpose of this non-profit organization shall be to render civic services to improve the public welfare of the community, state and nation and to encourage civic responsibility by means of active, charitable participations and donations.
