Beginner Stage 4: n-combos

N combos are nasal or voiced Vowel sounds made with the letter "n"
It is especially recommended that you grab a French speaking person to practice these sounds


n- Voiced, just like in English.

Single n followed by a Consonant:Nasal

Example: argent
an- on
en- same as "an" or after a soft vowel (e,i,y), same as "in"
on- own
in- waaa (wailing)
un- same as "in"
yn- same as "in"

Single or double n followed by a vowel: Voiced
(Except for U)

ane- [n, An]
ann- same
one- [owhn, n]
onn- same
ine- [een,n]
inn- same
ene- [ehn, n]
enn- [ehn, n]. Unless there's an accent saying otherwise, the e is always pronounced as è une- [ewn, n]
unn- [(w)aaan, no english equivalent]. It's the "in" pronounciation with a "n"voiced sound at the end.
