I originally started Betheder Modest Clothing, in the hopes that it might fill whatever need there is for modest clothing for ladies and girls, at reasonable prices, as I appreciate that it can often be a challenge to find modest clothing, especially if, for whatever reason, you are not able sew your own! I am no longer advertising modest clothing, knitted jerseys, or baby things, but still include some recommended reading and weblinks on this website, for the current time.

The name Betheder comes from Hebrew. I understand "Beth-" is 'house of-' as in "Beth-lehem" = "House of Bread", and "Beth-el" = "House of God". "eder" is 'flocks' or 'herds', thus "Betheder" = "House of Flocks/Herds".
