Border Collie Rescue

BCRA-ACT works with  local ACT rescue groups (see Links)  to save and rehome as many Border Collies as possible. Whilst we are always in need of foster carers there are many other ways that people can provide invaluable help such as forwarding messages about dogs in need to friends and bulletin boards and advertising dogs in need in local papers. Help with transporting dogs and donations for short term kenneling and other vet work are most welcome. Every little bit helps in our rescue efforts. Please contact the National Co-ordinator via the BCRA web site if you can help. If you are interested in fostering, again, please contact the National Co-ordinator via the BCRA web site.

Please visit the BCs for Adoption page to view border collies that we currently have looking for new homes.

Whilst most of the dogs in foster care are rescued from pounds prior to being euthanased, we are also able to assist in rehoming your border collie by listing on our web page. The National BCRA co-ordinator can provide advice on rehoming your dog. For listing on the Canberra region web site, a photo, brief description and contact details should be sent to the National Co-ordinator. Please note that we will only list desexed dogs on our web site.
