Asking Lissa! |
Hello everyone! Welcome to my "sitters page". This is a site for teens who do babysitting. We will share ideas, crafts, recipes and more. You are welcome to send comments or questions. I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. I have established this web page, as part of my Silver Award project through Girl Scouts. I have taken a babysitting course, and am guided in the site by my mentor. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Send in ideas of things you have done when you are babysitting. It can be a game, craft, healthy snack! Or as I said before, ask me a question...of course, the questions should be about babysitting of course..... Well, looking forward to hearing from anyone and everyone. Hope this finds you well. Till we meet again! Lissa

Babysitter Supply Bag! |
All good sitters should carry an assortment of supplies with them to each home they go to. Some of the standard supplies are listed below: Small first aid kit healthy snacks (naturally, these have to be changed per child, with parents permission) coloring books and crayons story books (assorted ages) crafts supplies (glue stick, paper, both white and colored, pencil and sharpener, anything you can think of) baby sitter guide book ( I will show you how to make this later) a pen (for taking notes from the parents and writing down any messages while they are away) What else might you think should go in this bag, I would like to hear from you!

Baby Sitter Guide Book |
My sitters guide book is easy to make. All I did was sit down and think of all the things I might want to know about the child I was going to take care of, allergies, food favorites, what they can and cannot have. What they can and cannot do while their parent(s) are away. Emergency phone numbers. A neighbor's address and phone number. Where your parent(s) will be while you are sitting...just in case! Also a list of things you can and cannot do while the parent(s) are away. Think about all these things, I am sure you can come up with more if you just try. I put all mine in a list, then I made different sheets for each section of questions and information. Such as child page, parent info page, emergency page, to do list, things like that. I made several copies of each to have on hand. Then I got a folder and put them all in it. I also made a set of smaller pages, with questions I would be asking the parent(s), and when I was first asked to babysit, I would give them the paper, and ask if they would fill it out ahead of time, so I would be familiar with everything before I sat. You can come up with your own ideas, I would like to see what you could think of. Let me know!
