Along with a friend, Mark, from university, the journey was completed in Summer 2005 in fourteen days. We carried all our equipment – including camping gear, sleeping bags etc – on our bikes and cycled around 70 miles a day to complete the northwards journey from Lands End in Cornwall to John o’ Groats in the Scottish Highlands.

We both managed to raise approximately £1000 each in the process, for MENCAP and a heart charity.
